Our team arrived at the school and called him, but he did not appear in person and instead spoke to our technician over the phone. He then suggested that our company collect something from Malaysia, promising a commission, which we refused. Our team reported this incident to the office and left. He mentioned that if we didn't help, they couldn't use our services for the air-con installation at Hwa Chong.

We didn't realise it was a scam until we received more calls from different schools with similar requests. The common pattern was that they spoke Chinese and identified themselves as teachers or lecturers from prestigious schools.
