Cold Call Supplier Scam
A scammer called our office requesting an urgent on-site visit to "Nanyang Primary" for a floor renovation solution. The admin asked him to send an email request, but he insisted on speaking directly with sales. As I was too busy last week, I asked for an email reminder and agreed to meet the following Tuesday. He refused to email and only wanted my mobile contact, where he sent a name card.

The next day, he WhatsApped me urgently, asking for FEMA wall paint instead, claiming the school management had fallen out with their Malaysian supplier. He insisted on paying me a commission to my bank account upon job completion. I later checked with the school and found out it was a scam. The contact details for this "teacher" were incorrect, and the school wasn’t undergoing any renovation work.
