Beware of Job scams

Job Scam
I received a WhatsApp message from someone named WJ Sharon, a senior recruiter at "Now Singapore," offering full-time and part-time jobs. Later, a recruiter named Eva Chong (WhatsApp: 8463 1786) contacted me to discuss my interest and explain the job. The position involved digital marketing, where we would join the company's online platform and promote popular brands to increase their online presence. Completing two sets of promotions daily could earn a 1% profit per set, with a potential salary of SGD 3000 after 30 consecutive days.

After joining the platform, I initially used a trainer's money for promotions but was later required to use my own funds. The system generates random brands with varying values, and there's a WhatsApp group with 28 members, including 8 admins, where promotions are discussed. They encouraged participation in "Events," requiring payment for higher profits up to 5%. Members often shared screenshots of substantial profits, creating an impression of wealth. However, my funds of SGD 14,000 got stuck, and I realised it was a scam when asked to pay SGD 34,000 to retrieve my money. I discovered that the original company, Cardinal Digital, had a warning about scammers on their website. I have since lodged a police report and am pretending to arrange the balance while awaiting resolution.
