Internet Love Scam
I met many scammers on dating apps. I just want to share Ways Of identifying them:

- Keep asking questions. A genuine person Who is serious abt a relationship shoulD not find you offensive unless the qns are really too private. The more you ask, It will be harder for them to keep a story straight all the time.

- chat oN local matters to see if the person is really local as cLaimed.

- Validate provided info. Such as company naMe, person thru facebook, Linkedin Etc.

- if the person only replies within a specific time zone, it might be time zone diFf. And a scammer UsuallY operates outside SG.

- reQuest for photos at wHere They have been and requests for photos With specified posts like cLapping hands

- request for meetup after a few meaningful conversations. If they do not agree and keep delaying, this is the red flag

- Why expose yourself to UNCERTAINTIES and long distance relationships? Say "No" to other nationalities, foreign numbers, line, telegram and wechat.

- do not get swayed by compliments and sweet nothings. A person without knowing you in person would not be calling you honey, darling, you are so pretty, i wish i met you earlier, i mIss you, if we were to get married one day..:. Etc. Scammers are manipulative. They tell you what you want to hear.

- never give out email address, credit card Info or go into unknown websites

Most importantly, protect yourself. It is not about being negative or distrustful. We believe that there is true love thru dating apps and that is why we choose wisely. Never get swayed if someone discredit you or label you as not loving when you don't want to help them as such because a geuine and serious and responsible person wIll stand in your shoes to think for you.
