Cold Call Supplier Scam

Impersonation Scam
I am a salesperson at The Curtain Boutique. Recently, I received a call from someone claiming to be Mr. Chen, a teacher from Singapore Chinese High School. He said he needed a quote for custom curtains for the school bell tower and arranged for an on-site measurement.
During our interaction, Mr. Chen asked me to help transfer money for purchasing materials, citing urgency due to past disputes with their designated wholesaler. He requested I order 30 barrels of latex paint worth $13,440.
Out of courtesy, I initially agreed, but later became suspicious when asked to advance payment before confirmation. After verifying with the school directly, I discovered it was a scam. Despite pressure from the scammer and their aggressive tactics, I avoided financial loss due to my cautious approach.
