I got a call with an Indian guy around 9:20am, the call volume was really soft at the start and when i got him to turn the volume up, he kept cutting out. When i could finally hear him, I asked him to identified himself. He ignored it as though he didn't hear me before proceeding to ask if i was the one paying the internet bills which i did answer yes. He then said that abnormal usage was detected on my wifi throughout the night (something along the lines of 25 users using my wifi during the night) and asked if i shared my wifi password with anyone. I then asked him to identify himself and he finally answered that he is from singtel. Since I had no internet lines with singtel, it was obviously a fake so i put down the call straight away.

Do note that he not once tried to even confirm my identity and address which a real telco would have done 1st before even sharing any info from their end. Also, real telco knows who their calling and will not make unsolicited phone calls informing you that there are problems with your internet connection!
