Some folks may get a call or an SMS saying that they’ve won the grand prize in a lucky draw. Others may be asked to participate in an online survey that entitles them to a lucky draw.

No matter how legit the offer sounds, if you are required to pay “administrative fees” or give certain private information in order to claim your prize; DON’T BELIEVE.

It seems quite unnecessary, doesn’t it? But you’d be surprised at how often we fall for such scams.

Check the reliability of the SMS or call. No legitimate business would ever force its customers to pay or give additional information for something that’s meant to be free.

Also, always stay vigilant. Never disclose your private information! It’s personal, not public after all.
